Missouri Stairway Lift Corporation is a company dedicated to helping Missourians by providing accessibility solutions.

What we do

Our primary goal is to take care of our customers.  "Our service doesn't wait to begin with the sale...or end with the delivery". We do more than just sell equipment.  We test, evaluate and offer only the equipment we feel is the best available.  Our technicians are trained extensively so that you feel confident that the quality equipment you get from Missouri Stairway Lift is always running in top condition.

We are centrally located in Columbia, Missouri at 601 North College Avenue

How we started

Missouri Stairway Lift was started by Weldon Jackson, the original owner, in his garage in 1976. Shortly thereafter, we moved to our current location, 601 N. College Avenue.

Since 1976, we have been providing accessibility and medical equipment to Missourians throughout the entire state.  Our customers include schools, colleges, churches, banks, courthouses and the people of Missouri.

Over the years, Missouri Stairway Lift Corp. has installed and serviced equipment from Access Industries (now known as Thyssen-Krupp Access), Waupaca Elevator, Concord Elevator, Econol-lift (Earl's Stairway Lift Corp).

Traveling from Rockport to Kahoka to Noel to Steele and all points in between, we can provide service anywhere in the State of Missouri.

Our Staff

Don Snedeker - Owner/Manager and "Chief Assistant Bottle-washer", Don is the hardest working project manager in the business.  Don graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Missouri.  With more than 27 years of experience, Don knows and understands our products, building codes, ADA requirements and state requirements regarding accessibility equipment better than anyone.  Don is active in our community and takes special care to ensure that all our clients needs are well met.  Don is available 7 days a week,  24 hours a day at 1-800-392-2591 to answer your questions (in English or Spanish) or just to chat about mushroom hunting.

Denise Smith - She is our office manager and lift chair and scooter specialist. She has over 14 years of experience in the medical equipment industry. She excels in multi-tasking, a requirement in our field. She is married and has two children. Denise and her family enjoy camping and fishing all summer long in Missouri's beautiful lakes and rivers.

Danny Swaim - Our Project Manager, Danny, is a graduate from Linn State Technical College.  Danny is a Certified, Manufacturer Trained Installer by Access Industries & Waupaca Elevator. Danny provides you with dependable service and supervises installations to ensure the highest quality of workmanship.  Danny is married and has two children.

Haldon Van Tassel - Field Service Technician/Fleet Manager, Van is a former Navy 1st Class Petty Officer with a lot of experience in maintenance and repair on electromechanical devices.  With his expertise, you can count on a complete, quality repair every time.  Van also maintains our fleet, ensuring that our team can safely make it to and from job sites.

Jeremy Reichel - Field Service Technician.  Jeremy is our pup, our youngest tech.  He is a graduate of Linn State Technical College Advanced Technology Center with an  Associate of Applied Science Degree - Integrated Manufacturing.  One of Jeremy's passion is Robotics.  Jeremy enjoys being one of our "road warriors", out there troubleshooting, repairing, and doing installations.
